Our woodland site

Harlock Wood
Five minutes from Ulverston, Harlock Wood is a seven and a half acre native woodland set in a sheltered ravine on the Furness fellside near Harlock Reservoir. The mature woodland offers a broad, shallow stream for amazing water activities, natural slopes for climbing, and a variety of features for adventure, exploration, play, and learning. This is a wild and inspiring outdoor learning environment where young people can connect with nature, develop personally, and learn experientially. The site is intentionally minimalist, with compost toilet facilities and simple tarp shelters, so the experience remains authentic and immersive.
